It contains both polar anionic groups (sulfonate and carboxylate) and non-polar nonionic groups (polyoxyethylene ether) within a single molecule. Its unique molecular structure provides both electrostatic and steric stabilization, resulting in excellent electrolyte and mechanical stability in emulsions. It exhibits high compatibility with divalent, trivalent cations, and quaternary ammonium surfactants. Its outstanding surface tension reduction makes it an ideal surfactant for many applications. In various aqueous systems, such as resin dispersion and lime soap dispersion, A-103 also serves as an excellent solubilizer, stabilizer, and dispersant. A-103 is non-irritating to the skin and contains no volatile organic components. 2. Product Applications A-103 can be used as an excellent primary emulsifier widely applied in polymerization systems such as acrylics, EAA (ethylene-acrylic acid), and EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate), especially in gloss systems. It also serves as a good solubilizer and dispersant for resins with low to medium HLB values and can be used as a surfactant and foaming agent in personal care products. Polymer Field: Used in the preparation of vinyl acetate and acrylic emulsions, providing fine-particle emulsions with good film transparency; also used as a post-added stabilizer. Non-Polymer Field: Cleaning agents with bactericidal properties, cosmetics, and shampoos; foamed cement, wall panels, and adhesives; good tolerance to cationic surfactants and polyvalent cations. Applications in Acrylic Emulsions A-103 is specifically designed for use as a primary or secondary emulsifier in the preparation of acrylic emulsions. When used in combination with other surfactants, such as MA-80, A-103 can effectively improve particle size. It can also be used as a post-emulsion stabilizer. A-103 significantly increases the dosage of self-crosslinking monomers, such as NMA (N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide), in the aforementioned emulsion systems without altering emulsion performance. Packaging and Storage Packaging: This product is packaged in 200kg or 1000kg drums. Transportation: During transportation, the product must be well-sealed to prevent moisture, strong acids, strong bases, rainwater, and other impurities from mixing in. Storage: This product is not hazardous. Store in a sealed container in a cool, ventilated, and dry indoor area. After each use, the container should be tightly sealed if not fully used.
